During any other year, this beach scene in Daytona Beach on Memorial Day weekend would be considered normal. But not this year with the uncertainty of the coronavirus. A massive crowd descended upon Daytona Beach on Saturday afternoon.

Later that evening, hundreds of party seekers near the beach took to the street to party. Six people were hurt when shots rang out. They were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. “It was a busy weekend. Everything is closed in Florida, but our beaches are open. Everyone seemed to come here,” said Daytona Beach Police Chief Craig Capri.
