Protests ‘elevate voices’ in Miami’s historically Black neighborhoods

A Urban Mass Bicycle Ride for Justice was held on June 14 in Miami’s Overtown. Hundreds participated, including State Rep. Kionne McGhee and Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver Gilbert III.

The previous day, a Black Lives Matter protest organized by Vayna Allen and Olivia Massey was held in Coconut Grove to “elevate voices’’ in historically Black neighborhoods. Former State Senator Dwight Bullard participated in that march.

A Black Lives Matter protest was held on June 15 in Miami’s Coconut Grove neighborhood.
