Denzel Washington won the best male actor in a leading role award at the Screen Actors Guild Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Jan. 29. In his acceptance speech, the “Fences’’ star thanked “the guys who don’t get recognized” and his co-star (and fellow SAG award winner) Viola Davis.
