A suspect was in custody Wednesday after five people were stabbed at a Tallahassee business.

The stabbings happened at 8:37 a.m. at Dyke Industries, a window and door manufacturer. The suspect, who was arrested nearby, is Antwann Brown, an employee of the business, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.

The five victims were taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, where one was in serious condition, two were in fair condition and two were in good condition.

Rachelle Denmark, a public information officer for the police department, said a motive for the stabbing was not immediately known.

“We are still in the early stages of the investigation and working through all the evidence and interviews that we have to do,” she said.

“We’ll be providing more information as soon as we can.” Police said other employees of Dyke Industries were able to momentarily hold the suspect at bay, which allowed officers to catch him.
