Jordin Sparks didn’t take a knee while singing the national anthem at Monday night’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals in Glendale, but she did have Bible verses strategically visible on her hand that made it clear where she stands on the issue.
Scribbled on the back of her hand gripping the mic was “Prov. 31: 8-9.”
From the Book of Proverbs, the verses read, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
