So I received a package of Lush Cosmetics products over the weekend that had a Halloween theme and I thought I’d tell you my thoughts on some of the items packed inside. I usually like to save the best for last but I knew I wanted to try the bright orange bath bomb ball first, so I did.
Aaah, just what I thought. It.Was.Awesome.
Now mind you I’m a 27-year-old woman and color changing water shouldn’t excite me as much as it did but I was delighted. The citrus scent fizzing Enchanter Ball Bomb lit up my bath water and I jumped right in!
I will mention that you shouldn’t gush the ball between your fingers as it is melting (told you I was excited!) because the color will get on your fingers. I freaked out a little bit at first but it came off by the end of the bath (no scrubbing involved).
I want another one. Lol.
Also in the package was a shower gel called Twilight. Obviously anything that has to do with twilight has to be meant for nighttime use right? Right. Before I even had a chance to use it, my roommate decided she wanted to give it a go because she likes lavender smells and said she had tired muscles (uh huh, sure. Anything to try out the Lush. Ha ha.)
She was happy with it. I was told that it lathered up really well and it opened the senses in a cool, calm manner. The folks over at Lush say “it contains a blend of deeply relaxing essential oils such as lavender flower infusion, lavender oil and ylang ylang…. to calm your mind and get you ready for sleepy time.” My roomy recommends it.
Although I tried a couple other products, for space constraints I’ll tell you about one more. It ended up being my favorite.

So of course you know that Halloween is right around the corner but this stuff is definitely a year round treat! Packaged in a little pot is this jelly looking stuff called Green Calacas Shower Jelly. It is slippery to grab a hold of, but that is part of the fun of bathing with it. You can also put it in the freezer and use it frozen. Neat right?
As Lush puts it “The energizing scent of lime and neroli perks you up and gets you moving, while the aloe vera gel gently softens skin. Especially good frozen, they make for a sharp shock in the morning for all you lazy bones!”
And as an fyi Calacas means bones in Spanish. It gets two thumbs up from me. No bones about it! (Pun completely intended, ha ha).
Well I’m off to shower, I’ll try my hand at Twilight.
Just so you know, I wasn’t paid to try any of these products and if you’d like to get your hands on some, be sure to check out the Lush homepage at Lush.com.
