BY TONYA PENDLETON BLACKAMERICAWEB.COM-The Allstate Tom Joyner Family Reunion is scheduled Thursday, Sept. 1 to Monday, Sept. 5 at the Gaylord Resort. This year promises to be one of the most star-studded ever.

altPlanned seminars include sessions on affordable family travel, responsible fatherhood and power couples who’ll help you learn how to mix business and pleasure, and much more.

The performance lineup now includes songstress Melanie Fiona, funky soulman Cee-Lo Green, Brian McKnight, Chris Walker, Diggy Simmons and Soulja Boy.

They’re just the latest additions to a roster that includes Jennifer Hudson and Keith Sweat. The “Gospel Explosion” concert, hosted by David Mann, features performances by Kirk Franklin, Dr. Bobby Jones, Tamala Mann and JC Thompson and Beyond Blessed.

Teen concert, comedy show

The “Swagged Out” teenage concert on Saturday night features Li’l JJ and Soulja Boy, along with Travante, Hamilton Park and Mindless Behavior. The ladies of hip-hop – Da Brat, Monie Love and L’il Mo – will do a special performance for Reunion attendees.

Comedy is well represented as well, with funnymen Marvin Dixon, Kier Spates, Huggy Lowdown, Chris Paul and more all scheduled to be part of the reunion. And, of course, “The Tom Joyner Morning Show’s” own J. Anthony Brown will be coming to the stage as well, hosting G-Thang, Franchise, Shuler King and others.

The family Crews, or at least Rebecca and Terry, will host a special seminar event for couples looking to do business together, along with Sinbad and his wife, Meredith. Their seminar is called “Power Couples: How to Start and Stay in Business Together and In Love.”

A special interactive teen seminar will help parents and their teens communicate better together, and O’Jays legend Eddie Levert will be on hand to host the “Tee Off For Scholarships” golf tournament.

The Allstate Tom Joyner Family Reunion will be rounded out by a special screening of Taraji P. Henson’s “From the Rough,” a film about the first woman to ever coach a men’s golf team
